THIS BOOKNERD IS GOING TO BE A MOMMY!
We've held out announcing until we heard the heartbeat for the first time. Yesterday little boop let us know he/she was there with 170 bpm. I might have cried. Ok I bawled. Geez.
Our bookworm in training is due September 2016 and we're SO FREAKING EXCITED. Much of my book buying money is going to be redirected to purchasing storybooks so this pregnant lady *points dramatically to self* is going to be at the library A LOT for her own reads.
So, Auggie... (you might be asking internally) Having a babe thing is, like, a HUGE deal. Are you going to have time to do the blog and everything?
The answer to that my wee readers is..... You make time for things you love. I will not stop reading! Thus, I will not stop blogging! Though I might need to give myself a little maternity break in October...lest I commit felonies out of overstress.
I have plenty of time to plan for that, though, so hopefully there won't be a slump!

This Week's Prompt
Write a Letter To Your Favorite Author
Dear Diana Wynne Jones,
You've been gone for several years now, but I think of you often. I find myself wishing frequently that there could be just ONE MORE of your books. Your stories were fantastic, colorful, and (for me) life changing. Not one author has made me want to become a writer myself more than you. You were able to capture magic, make it real, and deliver it to your readers in the form of adventures, dangers, romances, hidden lessons, humor, and general shenanigans. Few books come alive for me the way yours do, I can almost feel them breathing in my hands... inviting me in. "Come. Play."
If I could only thank you for all of your wonderful work, your accomplishments, and your passion. You are forever an inspiration to me, and I'm sure to so many others. Wherever you are now, I hope you're still making magic. You live on in the memories of those who knew you, and in the stories you left behind for readers like me who needed them and will continue to need them.
I will read your stories to my children, to myself again, and to anyone else who will listen. Thank you for everything.
With love,
Auggie.
Let's Be Friends!
Auggie is the 29 year old whirlwind owner of Auggie-Talk. A bibliobibuli by nature and a (potentially obsessive) lover of Diana Wynne Jones and Neil Gaiman. Not so secrety secret: She's been known to consume too much caffeine leading to hyperactive rants about her heinous lack of shelving and the high likelihood that Hermione Granger is her spirit animal.

OH MY GOD CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I'm so excited for you!

My F&F. New follower, happy F&F Friday!
Congratulations on your growing family! I actually read more when my kids were babies because I spent so much time being pinned down on the couch by non-stop nursers lol. I quickly learned the art of balancing books on top of eating babies :)
