Title: A Bad Boy for Christmas
Author: Jessica Lemmon
Genre: Romance
Publication: September 29, 2015
Pages: 416

Summary:

'Tis the Season to Be Naughty

Connor McClain knows what he wants. And after four harrowing years in Afghanistan, that's a quiet life in the lakeside town of Evergreen Cove. But coming home has land mines of its own-the most dangerous of them being long-legged bombshell Faith Garrett. Now getting her into his arms this holiday is going to require more than mistletoe . . .

With a cheating ex behind her, all Faith wants is a relaxing holiday free from man drama. And even though every moment with gorgeous Connor is a sweet temptation, Faith is determined not to give in. But Jack Frost has other plans, and soon Faith and Connor are snowbound in a winter wonderland with only the sparks flying between them to keep them warm. As one hot kiss leads to another, they'll have to decide if they're ready to give each other the best gift of all-love.

"Everything I love in a romance."
--- Lori Foster, 2014

I really didn’t think that Lemmon could create another bad boy that would replace Evan Downey, from Bringing Home the Bad Boy, on my book boyfriend’s list. And I was right. She couldn’t. But she came very very close with Connor McClain. To be fair, however, Evan and Conner really are worlds apart on the man-scale. Tattoo artist versus ex-military man? Yep, a little hard to compare. So, I won’t try. I’ll let Connor speak for himself. He has noooo problem doing that anyway.

We were teased with little snippets of Connor from the first two books and I was waiting ever so patiently (NOT) to find out all about the muscle bound god in tight jeans. What? Faith said it first. I’m just agreeing.

So consider my interest quite peaked when Connor, of the Evergreen Cove Bad Boys, turned out not to be so bad. Instead, this man with the rock-hard body was actually a great big marshmallow when it comes to those he loves. Really, what more could you ask for in a man. Rock-hard. Check. Protective. Check. Gooey center. Check.

SwA-oon. Yes, he IS swoon-worthy.

Enter Faith Garrett, the tall blond modelesque beauty of the Cove ladies. I knew she had a jerk of an ex-fiancé lurking nearby, but I didn’t realize what a sleaze we were actually dealing with until this book. Just wait…you’ll be ready to throttle him too. Mark my words.

After getting blindsided when said jerk cheats on her with a girl named Cookie (sadly, you heard me right…Cookie…yuck), Faith shuts her heart away and is bound and determined never to be dependent on a man or relationship again. She has some serious walls going on. But let’s just say…I’m proud of a certain Beefcake for not letting his Cupcake hide her heart from him for long.

5 quills to A Bad Boy for Christmas! I mean, really, was there ever any doubt Lemmon would receive any less for her bad boys?

Now, I have to wait until APRIL to find out what is gonna happen with Asher and Gloria in Return of the Bad Boy. I have no doubt whatsoever that book four is going to be fiery and feisty as Gloria (a.k.a. Sarge) wouldn’t have it any other way.

Until next time dearies!

I am a 25 year old tiny oddball of a woman. I have come to expect that life rarely listens when you huff and puff your way around like some surly old she-wolf. So instead, I have learned to embrace that which makes me quirky. I’m quite a lover of chocolate in all its forms and I ardently believe that it can indeed be served for breakfast. My oven, however, is strictly for shoes.

  1. So glad you had a great time with this one!! (waiting on books is AGONY right?!? AHHHH XD) I barely ever read Christmasy reads at the right time of year *facepalm* So good on you for being organised like that. :P

  2. Oh believe me, it was a complete coincidence that I actually read this one during Christmas time. I usually end up not being able to review them because it's summertime and no one is in the mood for jingle bells ;)

  3. I'm not really into these kind of reads where it is kind of an NA romance, but I do love the idea of reading Christmas themed reads around Christmas time! And I like the idea of the author creating another character that you could fall in love with so much :3
