Read-A-Thon Insanity! Jan 4-17

Hey, Bibliobabes!

Get ready for a read-a-thon extravaganza!

Bout of Books CleanSlateReadathon

Ok ok ok. So, I know that this is absolutely nuts but stick with me here 'cause this is going to be epic.

Totally.

Not only is Bout of Books going to be happening January 4-January 10th (I love B.O.B!) but I've discovered another delicious looking Read-A-Thon called "Clean Slate" which starts the same day B.O.B ends, which means 2 straight weeks of read-a-thon.

If I can't make a CONSIDERABLE head-start on my 2016 reading goal with a 2 week read-a-thon then there is something desperately wrong with me that no therapy can amend.

Though I've already posted my intentions to participate in Bout of Books 15 on twitter, I'm making a full-out intentions post to include both Bout of Books and Clean Slate.

I'll be listing possible goals, but will make separate official goal posts closer to each read-a-thon.

I am almost more excited about these Read-A-Thons than I am about Christmas. Is this healthy? *checks pulse* Perfectly healthy.

I hope you'll join me on this awesome awesome reading adventure that starts the first week of the new year!

Bout of Books
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 4th and runs through Sunday, January 10th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 15 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

Bout Of Books is an incredible read-a-thon. I've participated several times and it just keeps getting better. The people are awesome, the atmosphere is really positive, and it's just a good time all around. There are challenges every day, awesome giveaways, and twitter chats that will have you rolling in the floor with laughter. Even if your goal is to try to read a few pages during your crazy week, everyone will be cheering you on!

Potential Goals

My potential Goals for B.O.B 15 is to read 4 books. I would love to make a bigger goal, but I want to be sure I can accomplish this so that I don't lose steam for Clean Slate. I'll be posting more specific goals and a reading list closer to the date.

CleanSlateReadathon
So what exactly is the Clean Slate Read-A-Thon? This Read-A-Thon is only for books that we didn’t get to in 2015. Any 2015 release we never got to read. We want to start this year off with a clean slate so let’s get those 2015 releases off our TBR and make run for all of those 2016 releases!

Clean Slate Read-A-Thon will start the day that B.O.B ends. This particular read-a-thon does have a focus. 2015 books! This is so we can catch up on all those fantabulous new releases that we just didn't have time for!

Potential Goals

4 more books. I definitely have 4 2015 releases that I didn't get a chance to read (maybe more than that, but let's not get too specific here). Closer to the date of the read-a-thon I'll post my extra goals and a reading list!
