This week's top ten topic is:
Books I Can't Believe I Haven't Read Yet

I'm just out of my mind for not having this one read. I LOVED "Discovery of Witches" so much. I've started "Shadow of Night" and am a few chapters in but keep getting distracted by school work and shorter books that are shouting for my attention on the bookshelf.

Okay okay... so this one just came out TODAY. But I can't believe I don't already have it read! I've been waiting for AGES! One of the few books I'll actually be buying eBook AND physical copy editions of. *squeals with glee*

My favorite favorite author. This is her last work (finished by her lovely sister) and the only reason I haven't read it yet is because I will CRY. I will just CRY everywhere.

It's on my bookshelf, watching me forlornly. I've been meaning to read it for a while now and I can't believe I haven't already. I feel like this is a summer book. And by summer I mean "when I don't have gads of schoolwork so I can actually give myself completely to this book" summer.

I KNOW! I'm ashamed over my not having this read! What is wrong with me?

I love Murakami and I own this book. I keep picking it up and putting it down because I'm just not emotionally prepared yet. I need to get a therapist on speed dial before I start this mammoth of a Murakami book. Wait... don't they have some kind of Murakami crisis hotline? Oh yeah! 1-800-OMGWTF.

Aside from the Sandman graphic novels, which I CAN'T read (Sorry Neil, I'm too squeemy), I believe this is the only book from my favorite LIVING author that I haven't read yet. I started it and then misplaced it (probably during a move) and have just never replaced the lost copy. Need to put this up on the top of my next "Amazon Binge" list.

Love love love love Amy Tan! Another author that I think I can say I've read nearly everything they've written... except for this and her biography. That just means I'm a silly person.

I have it! It's on my shelf! I'll be reading it in the next few months as part of my Children's Literature course requirements! But I can't believe I haven't ALREADY read this. Now that I've really taken a look at this list I'm beginning to question my priorities. Is graduate school really THAT important?

I was so excited for this book. I purchased it when it first came out then somehow I misplaced it (Wow, I'm awful) and got the eBook version instead.... and haven't touched it since. For this particular series I NEED the book in my hand. I need to touch the awesomely awesome cover and the pages filled with weird, horrifying, unimaginable and at times hilarious happenings. I also need to be able to lose track of time while I contemplate the title... which can be read upside down and rightside up... something my brain apparently finds constantly astounding.

What are your top 10's this week?

  1. Cress is such a good book. I think I love Scarlet the most, but Cress is adorable and there is lots of Thorne time. I can't wait to re-read the books for upcoming Winter. I also need to read Dearest soon :D I loved the first book, liked the second one and I hope to get blown away by Dearest.

  2. Stop what you are doing and read Shadow on Night now!!! It is one of my favourite series of books I read the last book.in the series when it released last year and before it's release 're 'read the first two. Then 2 months after that I 're read the whole series again!! Yea I am a little obsessed with this series :/
