Cover Love with Shelver

I have to join the fun.

I wasn't going to make a post today, mostly because I've been running around like a squirrel on some serious methamphetamines and haven't had much of a spare minute... but I thought I would go ahead and participate in this fun little Meme hosted by Bookshelvers Anonymous!

I'm a bit cover-picky (who isn't, really?) so this little weekly deal appealed to me.

Cover love is all about featuring a cover that drives your toes to curling with its beauty, spunk, or general phenomenality. What cover has drawn your attention lately?

To join Cover Love:
- Follow Bookshelvers Anonymous as the host of the meme.

-Find a cover that makes you go wild with designer delight.

- Highlight said cover in a Thursday post

- Link back to Bookshelvers Anonymous somewhere in your post.

- Consider adding your meme button somewhere on your site so others can join in.

- Add your blog to the linky list.  Doing so will make it easier for others to find you.

Aside from the fact that I loved this book with a burning passion for its insides, I am constantly drawn to the cover and it has a spot of honor on one of the bookshelves so I can easily see it. Why? I'll tell you!

First of all... the color.  *sigh of gooey delight*. I love the midnight blue with the white cloud/star accents. It's magical all on its own without any reference to "witches".

Each of the symbols featured are particularly intriguing and I've actually sat down with the book for the singular purpose of studying the cover and its attractive cover-art. I can say very truthfully that I've never done this with a book cover before. Sure, there are covers that have me falling all over myself with admiration but none in my memory have pushed me to studying them closely, numerous times.

The art on this cover just touches my soul someway. Strikes a little chord. I don't know how to explain it to you but I'm sure you've seen covers that hit you in a similar way, at least once at any rate. If you haven't... you will eventually. When you do you're in for a treat.

What cover makes you grin from ear to ear?

That's all for today my loves.

Back to the squirrelly running around thing I was talking about earlier.

Oh, and not counting the rest of today...

4 days until Christmas!

Until Next Blog,
