Feature and Follow Friday: August's Featured Friday Author - Neil Gaiman

I know. I know. No one had ANY IDEA who the featured author was going to be this week. Why? Well, because there was no Stardust Saturday post last week that said anything about anything regarding the August Featured Author.

Yeah. Apologies for that one.

Anyway. This month's featured author is Neil Gaiman.

There are 5 Fridays in August. Today I'm going to give you some info on this author (one of my faves!) and link you to a previous review I made for one of his works. Just to introduce you.

The following Fridays will feature reviews of some of Neil Gaiman's books. I'm looking forward to introducing you guys to Gaiman's work if you don't already know him, and meeting fellow fans!

Enjoy!

This Week's Question

Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?

You know, they don't really. At least not depressed vs. happy. I can't recall picking up any specific type of book when I was sad vs. when I was happy. However, whenever it's a really rainy, cozy, day I tend to go more for mysteries or great magical middlegrades!

How about you? Do your reading habits change with your moods?

That's all for today's Featured and Follow Friday love doves!

See you tomorrow for Stardust Saturday and the newest GIVEAWAY announcement!

Until Next Blog,

  1. I do find that I tend to choose books on my mood- usually books that are completely opposite from what I'm feeling. I'm a new GFC follower :)

  2. Hopping through. I love Neil Gaiman. Especially because he lives in Minnesota. The Graveyard Book was incredible.

  3. Oh, that is a great idea about rainy days. A good mystery during that would most certainly bring the story alive better.

  6. I usually just pick up whatever is on top of my TBR pile! Sometimes it takes me a while to get into a new book though, and if it hasn't grabbed hold of my collar (not that i usually wear shirts with collars) and pulled me in by the third chapter then I'm usually out! So picky! ;)

  7. I don't think I choose books based on my mood, but if I'm reading what I think is a good book and I'm just not into it, I will put it down.
