Cozy Summer Reading: Liebster Award

Hello darling dears!

Today I get to include something very special in my blog. I am honored to have been tagged by Mel over at Insomnia Of Books to receive the Liebster Blog Award.

The Liebster Blog award is given to upcoming bloggers who have less than 200 followers.

The meaning of Liebster: German word for sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.

What fantastic words!

Help people get to know you as a blogger while also opening your blog up to new viewers.

The Rules are as follows:

1. Each person chosen must provide 11 facts about themselves.
2. Answer the 11 questions that the blogger who tagged you has given, then think of 11 questions for the people you tag.
3. Choose 11 people to receive the award and link them in your post
4. Be sure to tell these people that you've tagged them.
5. Remember, no tag backs (in other words: don't tag the person who tagged you.)

This is a fantastic way to help support up and coming blogs that you enjoy. I hope that you will participate in this with me.

Alright, here we go.

Auggie's 11 Facts:

1.) I have a desperate phobia of sheets, couches, clothes, or other such cloth that is used or communal. I usually can't purchase clothing as Thrift stores (no matter how cute!) and it takes an act of God to get me to sleep in a hotel/motel bed under the sheets. (Ugh!)

2.) I love lemon flavored snacks and sweets. I also love lemon scented candles!

3.) The "Coroline" theme song is my ring-tone for Mr. J

4.) I am obsessed with old Photographs and I collect them from thrift stores and vintage shops. I then have fun making up stories about the people in the pictures.

5.) I am an ethical vegetarian.

6.) Once upon a time I wished I was a professional contortionist in a traveling circus.

7.) I once refused to return to Kindergarten because they weren't going to teach me how to read in the first few days.

8.) "Auggie" is a nickname given to me by my family. I've been known by that name since I was very little.

9.) I purchase journals and notebooks just because they have potential and smell new. I rarely get around to using them all the way through before buying more.

10.) My favorite color is green.

11.) I love the HARVEST MOON games.

Answers to the questions asked by Insomnia of Books:

1.) What is your favorite drink? I love Aloe-Vera drinks. Especially the ones with grapefruit.
2.) If you were on a desert island what two things would you take with you? Oh. Wow. Hate this question. Er. Assuming that the desert island can support life with fresh-water and food, and that "things" don't include people... I would have to say I would bring a huge box of duct-tape and a couple of yard of fabric.
3.) If you were able to invent something, what would you invent and why? If I could invent ANYTHING? I would invent a machine that would let you change your hairstyle (short, long, curly, straight, any color) at the touch of a button and within 30 minutes. Bye bye 3 hour trips the salon.
4.) What is your next read? Are you excited about it?  My next read after my current one is "Enchanted Glass" by Diana Wynne Jones. Considering I've loved everything that woman has ever written so far, yes, I'm very excited.

5.) What do you prefer? Paperback, hardcover, or e-book? I love paperback books. I can bend them back, and the creased spines always make the books looked so well-read and loved to me.

6.)  Chocolate or Vanilla flavored ice-cream? Uh... vanilla. You can put more toppings on it without it tasting strange.
7.)  Do you believe in love at first sight? Do you want it to happen to you? Uh... no. I don't believe in love at first sight. I could go into that, but that's another blog post. I'm very happily in-love right now and it was not a Love At First Sight event, which I'm glad of.
8.) Do you like historical novels? Why or why not. I do enjoy historical novels. There's something to be said about being transported into history, into times that actually happened. You get to do research into the time-period and the people included. It can feel a lot more real than a book based entirely on fantasy or a non-existent world.
9.)  What is your favorite book and why?  This is a really difficult one, but I think I'm going to have to say that my favorite book is "Howl's Moving Castle" by Diana Wynne Jones. That book opened me up to all of her other works, and my life was made richer for it.
10.) Where is your favorite place to read?  It really depends on my mood, but I love a quiet, sunny little room where there's a beautiful view of nature outside the window. Cozy is the word. I love cozy places.

11.) If you want to go on vacation, where would you go? Universal Studios or Disneyworld. Love those places. They're so full of fun!

Auggie's Questions for those tagged:
1.) If you had the option to live in a book-store for a year, but wouldn't be able to leave the store to go into the outside world until the year was up... would you?

2.) Would you rather live in a Queen Anne mansion or a beach house by the sea?

3.) What is your favorite instrument?

4.) What is your favorite season?

5.) What is your current ring-tone?

6.) Do you play video/computer games? Which is your favorite?

7.) Do you speak (or want to speak) another language? Which one?

8.) What is the most you've spent on books at one time?

9.) Do you ever read children's books and count them as "Books I've Read"?

10.) What era do you think you belong in?

11.) Would you prefer to own a cat or a dog?
